Causes of Infertility
A couple is classified as 'infertile' or 'sub-fertile' if they fail to conceive after one year of regular unprotected sexual intercourse.

On average, one in six couples is infertile of which, 40% are due to female factors, 40% male factors and 20% of the cases, no cause is found this is know as idiopathic infertility.



Anovulation or tubal damage is amongst the most common causes of infertility for female. As for male, the prime reason is due to sperm defect which is largely related to the quality and quantity.
